Dr Sandra Musengi-Ajulu

Dr Sandra Musengi-Ajulu is a partner and head of operations at Dajo Associates. She is the leader of our small business sector and is a key contributor in our development sector practice.

Sandra has been a sub-panel for the Africa SMME Awards, a judge for the National Innovation Competition for the university phase, a researcher for the South African 2006 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor report and was an advisory panelist for a Tourism Enterprise Programme research project.

Sandra has participated in the Round Table Discussion on Microfinance led by the South African Department of Trade and Industry and was a member of a task team set up to provide technical assistance to the South African Microfinance Apex Fund (samaf) in 2010.

Prior to joining Dajo Associates, Sandra was a lecturer in Management at Rhodes University and programme manager at a non-profit higher education institution before starting her own consulting business.


While in her own business, she led/collaborated on several research, organizational development and business case development projects for government departments and entities, development agencies and non-profit organizations

Sandra holds a PhD from Rhodes University and is currently a Research Associate of the Rhodes Business School. She has contributed chapters to several higher education text books in the fields of entrepreneurship and management.

Sandra has a keen interest in entrepreneurship development, micro-enterprise sector development as well as the design and use of practical tools and information systems to support entrepreneurship development at entity level and agencies/organizations supporting entrepreneurship development at various levels.
